New Application Launched to Order Taxis via Whatsapp in Gipuzkoa

Aiming to facilitate mobility, the Gipuzkoa Taxi association has introduced the dTaxi platform, initially launching its pilot phase in Donostia, Oarsoaldea, and Bidasoa.

The Gipuzkoa Taxi association has unveiled dTaxi, an innovative application enabling users to request taxi services through Whatsapp, with the goal of optimizing mobility across Gipuzkoa.

This new platform streamlines the taxi ordering process, offering an intuitive experience available in multiple languages, including Basque. Developed by the Gipuzkoa Taxi association, the pilot phase has been rolled out in Donostia, Oarsoaldea, and Bidasoa. The service is also accessible in municipalities integrated with Radio Taxi Donostia, such as Hernani and Astigarraga.
Users need to save the number 943 47 00 47 in their contacts to utilize the service. dTaxi aims to enhance the taxi service experience, adapting to new communication methods and the needs of an increasingly connected society. Service activation is quick and easy, simply by scanning a QR code that will be displayed in Gipuzkoa taxis.
The application provides real-time information on vehicle location, estimated arrival time, and the approximate fare for the journey. In addition to the Whatsapp channel, the project includes an informative website where users can consult detailed service operations, find answers to frequently asked questions, and request a taxi.
