The Gipuzkoa Provincial Council has confirmed it will not appeal the ruling that annuls geographical limits in Multikirola. This decision allows players in the benjamín (U10) and alevín (U12) categories to play for clubs in municipalities other than their own.

The Gipuzkoa Provincial Council will not appeal the court ruling that invalidates the geographical restrictions imposed on Multikirola. The appeal filed by the Antiguoko club has been deemed final, meaning that players in the benjamín and alevín categories can now participate in clubs located in municipalities different from their place of residence, contrary to the 2024 provincial order.
A resolution published in the Official Gazette of Gipuzkoa declares null and void sections 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 of Article 4 of Provincial Order 40-133/2021. This order had stipulated that schoolchildren in the Benjamín and Alevín categories must play exclusively for clubs within their municipality of residence or schooling, or the nearest municipality if no club existed there.
The Antiguoko club has thus secured a judicial victory, compelling the Provincial Council to redefine the landscape of school sports and football in Gipuzkoa. While the provincial institution had the option to appeal the ruling, it has chosen not to. Nevertheless, the Council itself had already indicated in December its intention to remove this limitation, which was subsequently reflected in the February 2nd provincial order.
