The Idiazabal Duathlon race, on November 14th, will determine the champion of the Euskal Herria Mountain Duathlon Circuit (EHMDZ) in all categories.

The Euskal Herria Mountain Duathlon Circuit (EHMDZ) championship will be decided in Idiazabal on November 14th. This will be the second year the race is organized in the Gipuzkoa town. The 2026 calendar will consist of a total of nine races, starting in Asteasu and concluding in Aduna.
At the presentation event held at Gran Camping Zarautz, organizers highlighted the increasing participation. Consequently, two new races have been added to the schedule: Zarautz on September 26th, and Bidania-Goiatz on November 21st.

"In the rankings, this year no race can be left out. The winner will get 25 points, the second 20, and so on. This means that even if you miss one race, participating in others will not create as large a point gap as before."

The scoring system has also been changed to promote loyalty and full calendar participation. Additionally, two of last year's champions, Josu Urrestarazu (men's individual champion) and Maddi Olaetxea, were present at the event.
The EHMDZ calendar is as follows: September 19th, Asteasu; September 26th, Zarautz; October 3rd, Durango; October 17th, Kanpezu; October 24th, Aia; October 31st, Ibarra; November 14th, Idiazabal (Euskal Herria championship); November 21st, Bidania-Goiatz; and November 28th, Aduna.
