Gipuzkoa Provincial Council Meets in Lasarte-Oria to Engage with Citizens

The Council of Deputies of the Provincial Council held an itinerant session in Lasarte-Oria to understand municipal needs and foster collaboration.

The Council of Deputies of the Gipuzkoa Provincial Council met today in Lasarte-Oria, as part of the itinerant sessions being held during the legislature to gain firsthand knowledge of the needs and projects of the territory's municipalities.

The purpose of these sessions is to bring the activity of the provincial institution closer to the citizens. To this end, the General Deputy expressed the desire to go out to the squares of Gipuzkoa. This approach aims to understand the challenges and projects of the municipalities and to strengthen collaboration with them.

The mayor of Lasarte-Oria thanked the Council of Deputies for their visit, noting that such meetings strengthen inter-institutional ties and allow for direct communication of the town's needs and future projects. He emphasized that Lasarte-Oria is a dynamic municipality with great potential, and that the support of the Provincial Council is fundamental for advancing in the established challenges and objectives.

During the session, the General Deputy and her team had the opportunity to visit various locations in Lasarte-Oria, learning about their activities. Among others, they visited the Ttakunenea association, where they learned about the association's origins, areas of work, and challenges. They shared concerns about the situation of the Basque language with the association's representatives.
