The 34th edition of the Donosti Cup will be its most international to date, taking place from July 6th to 12th and gathering 910 teams from 32 countries in Gipuzkoa.

Gipuzkoa will once again become the epicenter of grassroots football worldwide with the celebration of the 34th edition of the Donosti Cup. This year marks the largest international participation in its history, bringing together 910 teams from 32 countries. Over the years, the event has welcomed athletes from 90 nations.
The largest foreign delegation will be from the United States, with 92 teams, closely followed by France and Mexico, with 54 and 10 teams respectively. For its part, Gipuzkoa will host 363 teams and approximately 6,500 players, making this event the largest sporting gathering of local athletes.
To promote youth participation, the Rural Kutxa-Donosti Cup scholarships have been launched. Women's football will have a significant presence, with over 3,000 players and around 200 teams competing. In this context, the Donosti Cup Women's Day will be held at the small stadium of Anoeta, where, for the first time, the Vicky Lopez Award will be presented to the most outstanding player.
Regarding inclusion and solidarity, the sixth edition of the Donosti Authentics Cup will be played with eight teams, and associations from Angola, Catalonia, and Palestine have been invited. Furthermore, in Gaza itself, the first edition of the Donosti Cup Gaza tournament will take place with the participation of twelve local teams.
In terms of organization, due to the works at the Anoeta stadium, the main opening ceremony will be held at Illunbe on July 7th, divided into two sessions. Throughout the tournament, more than 2,254 matches will be played across 60 fields located in 50 towns in Gipuzkoa, Bizkaia, Navarre, and the French Basque Country.
This event will generate a significant tourist and economic impact for the region, with an estimated arrival of 16,000 players and around 10,000 family members and friends, resulting in approximately 124,000 overnight stays.
