The Argixao Athletics Club had a formidable debut as a federated entity at the Gipuzkoa Absolute Championship. Nekane Iturbe became the Gipuzkoa champion in shot put, and Leire Viedma finished third in the 100-meter hurdles.

The Argixao Athletics Club delivered an outstanding performance, both collectively and individually, at the Gipuzkoa Absolute Championship held last weekend. This event was particularly significant as it marked the club's first appearance as a federated entity in a team competition.
In the individual competition, Nekane Iturbe secured first place in the shot put, earning her the title of Gipuzkoa champion. Additionally, Leire Viedma achieved a third-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles.
The collective effort of all the athletes in the team participation also deserves special mention. Argixao's representatives secured third position, a result attributed to the hard work of Nora González (100m and 200m), Iraia Mendizabal (100m), Irati Tobar (200m and 400m), Maialen Arratibel (200m), Kattin Oiartzabal (400m and 800m), Leire Viedma (100m and 400m hurdles), Jone Carrera (triple jump), and the aforementioned champion Nekane Iturbe (shot put).
In the 4x100 meter relay, the team consisted of Kattin Oiartzabal, Nora González, Irati Tobar, and Maialen Arratibel. This relay team propelled their young club, in its first year of federated competitions, to become the third reference club in the province for women's athletics, ranking behind established historical clubs like Real Sociedad and Super Amara Bat.
The club commented on their achievement, stating, "This is a great start for our club in federated competitions, and it's thanks to the tremendous work of our athletes, who are having a fantastic season."
