The Gipuzkoa Provincial Council has announced the total closure of the A-15 highway in both directions from Friday night until Sunday morning, due to the installation of a new control system in the Belabieta tunnel.

The Gipuzkoan section of the A-15 highway will be completely closed to traffic in both directions this weekend, due to work to install a new control system in the Belabieta tunnel. The closure began on Friday night and will last until Sunday morning.
According to the Gipuzkoa Provincial Council, the closure will extend until 10:00 AM on Sunday, May 10, in both directions. In the Andoain direction, the affected area will start at the Berastegi junction, while in the Pamplona direction, the closure will be established from the Sorabilla (Andoain) junction.
For drivers traveling in either direction, alternative routes will be enabled, such as the N-I via Etzegarate, and the A-10 (Sakana highway). The GI-2130 (Tolosa–Leitza) and GI-2135 (Tolosa–Lekunberri) roads will be restricted to local traffic. In any case, the Provincial Council reports that diversions will be properly signposted at all times.
