Balmaseda is gearing up to host a special cycling event on July 5th, Sunday, characterized by a retro ambiance that evokes the early days of cycling.

The Retrobike Enkarterri cyclotourist march is currently preparing, with the registration period open until June 28th. Those interested can sign up via WhatsApp at 635 713 555 or by sending an email to kepamerino@gmail.com. The participation fee is thirty euros for registered members and thirty-five euros for others.
According to the organizers, the Sociedad Ciclista Balmasedana, "this is not a competitive race; we simply want to spend the day with friends and make new ones." The event adheres to "all relevant federation and traffic regulations, and will include an ambulance and mechanical assistance" along its fifty-kilometer route, which has been updated with surprises.
Cyclists will make a stop to visit the Torre Loizaga museum of motors and classic cars in Galdames, aligning with the retro aesthetic of the bicycles and attire.
The Retrobike Enkarterri will commence at 9:30 AM from San Severino square in Balmaseda. From there, participants will head to Zalla via the bidegorri (cycle path) and then proceed to Güeñes by road, ascending the Humaran pass towards Galdames.
After visiting Torre Loizaga, described as "one of the best car museums in the world," they will resume their journey towards Sopuerta and "through Las Barrietas, towards Artzentales," before reaching the finish line in Balmaseda, where the day will conclude with a communal meal.
