This new publication, titled Zuhaitzak eta arbolak Euskal Herrian, thoroughly examines the characteristics, uses, curiosities, diseases, and pests of the 116 tree and shrub species found in Euskal Herria.
The book also includes a 5,000-word dictionary covering terms related to tree structure, ecology, the moon, forestry, landscape, and their uses. Additionally, it features 15 collaborations highlighting the importance of trees and wood in Euskal Herria.
“"We will alleviate the ecological footprint generated by the creation of the book and together we will create an ecosystem as rich as the book itself."
As part of a commitment to forestry, and with the support of Tantai Baso Jabe Kooperatiba, one square meter of forest will be created for each copy sold. This initiative aims to mitigate the book's ecological footprint and foster a rich ecosystem.
While the book is not yet available for purchase, it can be reserved and acquired from June 8th. Presentations will take place on June 6th at the Ziburu Basque Book and Record Fair at 4:00 PM, and on June 13th in Olarizu, Gasteiz, starting at 10:30 AM with a guided tour.
