Mallabia organizes diverse cultural and sports events for May and June

The town square, fronton, and Kontzejuzarra will host a wide range of activities catering to all ages and interests.

Mallabia has prepared an extensive program of cultural and sports events to take place between May 17 and June 12, utilizing the town square, fronton, and Kontzejuzarra as main venues.

The schedule kicks off on May 17 with the XLIII Bizkaia School Rubber Paleta Finals at the local fronton. Following this, on May 20, mountain documentaries will be screened at Kontzejuzarra, including works such as Aldabide and Izarren zaunka.
May 23 will be a significant day, featuring the start of the 7 Pago Mountain Race from the square, which will also host a children's park. In the afternoon, the Elektrotxufla elektrotxaranga will parade through the square, and chicken pintxos and cider will be available. The day will conclude with Imanol Epelde's show 'Zerbait sartu zait begian' at Kontzejuzarra.
Moving into June, on June 4, the semifinals of the XXIII Biharko Izarrak Championship will be held at the fronton. In the afternoon, a lecture titled 'Proliferación de Líneas de Alta Tensión. Posición garantista del Ayuntamiento' will be given at Kontzejuzarra. On June 6, there will be a briska tournament and a rural sports exhibition, and on June 7, an agricultural and craft fair will take place in the square, accompanied by a performance from the Gazte Alai dance group.
Finally, on June 8, the talk 'Indartu zure hezur eta muskuluak' will be held at Kontzejuzarra, and on June 12, the finals of the XXIII Biharko Izarrak Championship at the municipal fronton will bring this year's program to a close.
