The town of Berriz has begun its Arrate festivities on September 7th, accompanied by pleasant weather.

On the eve of Arrate Day, the celebrations kicked off with a program organized by the Jaixak Herrixak Herrixandako festival committee. The first event was a communal meal.
In the afternoon, after the opening of the food stalls (txosnas), the elektrotxaranga group Elektrotxufla livened up the field and surrounding areas. Almost simultaneously, the Salbea was celebrated at the sanctuary of Arrate.
Following this, wood choppers and stone lifters presented an excellent demonstration of traditional Basque sports (herri-kirolak). Meanwhile, at the Tiro Pitxoi restaurant, bertsolaris Andoni Egaña, Maddi Ane Txoperena, Saioa Alkaiza, and Aitor Mendiluze delivered a remarkable performance at the bertsolari dinner organized by …eta kitto! Euskara Elkartea.
At night, music took center stage. The evening began with the "Zelaian" session by the collective Soba, followed by concerts from the groups Maruxa and Bad Sound DJ Set.
