The management of Maiztegi Herri Eskola in Iurreta reported acts of sabotage and vandalism at the educational center over the weekend, leading the Iurreta City Council to condemn the incidents and allocate resources to identify those responsible.

According to the school's management, unauthorized entry into the school premises occurred, followed by acts of vandalism. In response to these incidents, the Iurreta City Council has expressed its strong condemnation.

"We believe that these actions are not mere mischief, but a direct attack on an educational project that aims to promote values of respect and sustainability among young people."

Consequently, all necessary resources have been placed at the disposal of the Municipal Police to identify those responsible for the damages. Furthermore, public cooperation has been requested to report any suspicious behavior that jeopardizes the common assets of the municipality.
The City Council has extended its full support and solidarity to the management team, teachers, and especially the students of Maiztegi Herri Eskola. Municipal officials noted that the new school garden was destroyed, fences were damaged, paint was intentionally spilled on school paths, and construction materials from an adjacent site were found out of place.
