The Larrea Festivals will kick off this Friday, July 10th, in Amorebieta-Etxano, filling the neighborhood with music, competition, culture, and tradition for three days. The program provides options for all ages, fostering moments of fun and community.
Friday's schedule begins at 7:00 PM with the traditional 'txupinazo' (opening rocket). Following this, at 7:30 PM, the Tortilla Championship will take place, with awards distributed at 9:00 PM. To continue the evening, there will be a show called 'Iluntzean' at 10:00 PM and a DJ session at 11:30 PM.
On Saturday, July 11th, starting at 11:00 AM, the Paella Championship and, simultaneously, children's inflatables and games will run until 2:30 PM. At 1:00 PM, the group Ross Dantza Taldea will perform, followed by the paella distribution at 2:00 PM. In the afternoon, at 5:30 PM, there will be a guided concert by Iratxe and Imanol, and at 6:30 PM the Mus Championship. In the evening, at 10:00 PM, the group Itziarren Semeak will perform, and at 11:30 PM, the Argitu Erromeria (traditional gathering) will take place, concluding the day with the 'Kantzontzilo eta kulero' race.
On Sunday, July 12th, the program starts at 12:00 PM with a 'Txistupoteo' (flute procession) by the txistu players from Zornotza, and at 1:00 PM the Frog Championship ('Igel Txapelketa') will be held. At 3:00 PM, a Neighborhood Meal will be served, and at 5:30 PM the Foosball Championship. The festivals will conclude at 7:30 PM with a Sardine Roast ('Sardinada').
Those interested in attending the popular meal can sign up at Errota Barri and Propin. For the tortilla and paella championships, there will be a maximum of two tables and fourteen chairs per team.
The Amorebieta-Etxano City Council invites residents to participate in the festivals, to enjoy the neighborhood's rich offerings of culture, music, and activities.
