The Durango Market continues its monthly program with new activities focused on gastronomy, local produce, and Basque traditions, open to all citizens.

This Thursday, at 6:00 PM, the market will host a gastronomic workshop led by Lur and Vanesa from the Amillena Restaurant. Attendees will learn cooking techniques, practical tips, and professional experiences, highlighting local cuisine and the use of quality, proximity products.
On Sunday, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, the Euskal Sagardoaren Festa / Topa Durango will take place, a festive event that will transform the Market into a meeting point to enjoy Basque cider, local produce, and gastronomic tradition in an open and participatory atmosphere.
Both proposals follow up on last week's programming, which was well-received. Highlights included a Txakoli and Sea tasting directed by Mikel Garaizabal and the presentation of organic plants for gardens by Biolandare Haztegia, promoting home cultivation and sustainable practices.
The June program will continue to expand in the coming weeks with new activities, including a workshop on Latxa sheep wool organized by Alluitz Natura and a show cooking focused on the use of medicinal plants in cooking, led by Mentxu Amunategi.
The Durango City Council encourages citizens to participate in these initiatives. "The Durangoko Merkatua must be a lively and dynamic space that generates activity throughout the year and attracts citizens," explained Mireia Elkoroiribe, the mayor of the municipality, adding that "dynamization is fundamental to making it a true meeting point, strengthening local commerce, and giving greater visibility to our nearby products."
