The Durango City Council has joined the Kirolur 2026 Municipalities League, promoted by the Bizkaia Provincial Council, with the aim of encouraging physical activity among citizens and acquiring equipment for local sports clubs.

This initiative, which other municipalities in the territory have also embraced, seeks to promote sports practice among residents and, at the same time, reward the municipality with the greatest commitment to health and sports. The competition offers a prize of up to 6,000 euros, which the winner will use to purchase sports equipment.
This award will be used exclusively for the purchase of sports equipment for Durango's local clubs, benefiting numerous athletes and facilitating access to more resources for practicing various disciplines.
To participate, citizens must follow three simple steps: first, download the Wellk application; then, join the Durango team in the “Challenges” tab of the app; and finally, accumulate kilometers through any GPS-recorded physical activity, such as walks, runs, or bike rides.
Every individual effort will contribute to the collective progress of the municipality in this competition. Durango has invited its residents to participate in this challenge until May 15.
