The Durango City Council has held a meeting with Muruetatorre neighborhood residents to discuss the location of a public restroom, committing to study a new proposal.

The Durango City Council recently convened with over a hundred residents from the Muruetatorre neighborhood to address various local issues. A key point of discussion during the meeting was the proposed location for a new public restroom.
Initially, the municipal government suggested placing the public restroom in the area between the Muruetatorre block and Landako Avenue. However, residents put forward an alternative proposal: relocating the Madalena bus stop and installing the restroom there, arguing that this site would offer greater accessibility and convenience.

"We appreciate citizen participation and will take their suggestions into account."

The City Council has pledged to thoroughly examine the residents' suggestion. Before making a final decision, they will assess any potential issues or "black spots" that the new location might present. To this end, the municipal government will meet with various stakeholders, including the Bizidun senior citizens' association, Durango Lagunkoia, and feminist groups, to comprehensively analyze the proposals.
The final decision aims to be reached through consensus with the residents, ensuring citizen participation and agreement throughout the process.
