The Durango City Council has extended the deadline for citizens to vote in the participatory budget process until July 24. A total of 15 projects have reached the final phase to allocate 300,000 euros.

Through this process, residents of Durango can select initiatives to be included in the 2027 municipal budget. Out of 27 initial proposals, 15 have successfully met the technical criteria.
The local government will allocate 300,000 euros, divided into three main categories: sports and youth, culture and Basque language, and social affairs and festivities. Each category has a budget of 100,000 euros.
To participate, individuals must be over 16 years old and registered as residents in Durango. Voting is conducted via the municipal website, allowing one choice per thematic area.
