Durango will host the HOAC Bizkaia Day this Sunday, an event centered on historical memory, participation, and social commitment. The initiative, organized by the Hermandad Obrera de Acción Católica (HOAC) under the theme 'Participate to transform', will bring together various teams from the territory.
The program will combine historical memory, reflection, and coexistence. Among the planned activities is a guided tour of various sites linked to the bombing of 1937, focusing on the culture of peace and collective memory.
Subsequently, participants will attend a mass at the Basílica de Andra Mari at 12:30 PM. The day will continue with a public event after the mass and conclude with a shared meal among the different groups.

"The dominant discourse tends to reinforce individualism and the idea that nothing can be changed"

Jorge Torralbo · Diocesan President of HOAC
The organization emphasizes the importance of strengthening social participation against individualism and the loss of community ties. The entity advocates for the recovery of spaces for encounter and collective commitment in everyday areas such as the neighborhood, work, family, or parish.
