The Durangaldea Palestina coordination group has organized several events in towns across the region to commemorate the 78th anniversary of the Nakba and denounce the situation of the Palestinian people, scheduled for May 14 and 15.

The organizers aim to highlight the ongoing situation since 1948, when thousands of Palestinians were displaced from their homes. The activities planned for this week seek to raise awareness about the reality in Palestine.
On Tuesday, May 14, two events will take place. In Elorrio, a concentration will be held in the town square at 7:00 PM. Meanwhile, in Zornotza, a lecture titled 'Palestine, occupation and resistance' will be given at the Zelaieta center at 6:30 PM. The speakers will be Fouad Baker, Anis Hawari, and Eneko Gerrikabeitia.
On Wednesday, May 15, two more events are scheduled, both at 7:00 PM. A concentration will be held in Ermua, and the book Olibondoaren herria, written by Mikel Elortza, will be presented at the Hitz bookstore in Durango.
