Berriz hosted its XXVII Outdoor Painting Competition on Saturday, transforming the town's streets and squares into an artistic workshop for artists over 16 years old.

This well-established cultural event in the municipal calendar brought together numerous artists who spread out across various corners of Berriz to capture their unique perspectives of the local surroundings in situ.
After a morning of dedicated work, the jury announced its verdict. In this edition, the first prize, valued at 700 euros, was awarded to Eduardo Alsasua García. Carlos Uriagereka Larrazabal secured the second place with 600 euros, and Fernando Devicente Garrido took third with 500 euros. The competition once again highlighted the creativity and talent of the participants.
The winning artworks will become the property of the City Council and will be displayed in an exhibition from May 4 to May 31, 2026, at the Cultural Center.
