The Network of Foral Museums of Álava has presented its program of guided tours for June, July, August, and September. New offerings have been developed for the Quipuzcoa Monumental Complex and the Museum of Fine Arts, enabling citizens to connect with the territory's historical and artistic heritage through tailored experiences for diverse audiences.
Visits to the Quipuzcoa Monumental Complex will take place on weekends in June and September, and will extend to Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays during July and August. As a new feature, special afternoon visits will be held on summer Fridays, including a short theatrical performance.
Each day will feature two simultaneous groups, one in Basque and one in Spanish, undertaking inverse routes to ensure an optimal visitor experience. On Saturdays and Sundays, tours will commence at 12:00 PM and last approximately one hour. On Fridays in July and August, visits will be at 7:00 PM and last about an hour and a quarter.
Meanwhile, the Museum of Fine Arts of Álava will host guided tours of the exhibition 'Fantasy and Reason,' dedicated to the etchings of Francisco de Goya. This proposal allows for an in-depth exploration of the Spanish artist's graphic work and its historical and creative context.
These tours will be conducted daily with a single group, either in Basque or Spanish. They will be held on Wednesdays at 5:00 PM and on Sundays at 12:00 PM, lasting approximately one hour.
Through this program, the Provincial Council of Álava reinforces its commitment to promoting cultural heritage by offering accessible and high-quality experiences that invite exploration and enjoyment of the territory's history, art, and identity.
All visits are free of charge, but spaces are limited and advance booking is required.
