The Andre Mari festival commenced this morning in Albiztur. Local youth ignited fireworks to mark the start of the festivities, followed by a trikipoteo (a musical procession) through the town. Residents embraced the tradition of wearing costumes, taking to the streets in a variety of outfits on the first day of the celebration.
From midday, children and young people have been the main focus of the day. They enjoyed inflatable attractions in the main square and later shared a communal meal. In the afternoon, the inflatable attractions remained available for further enjoyment.
At 8:00 PM, a cider tasting event was held, featuring ciders from the Zapiain, Zelaia, Alorrenea, Altzueta, and Mendizabal cider houses. To conclude the day, DJ Indate will perform in the square, starting at 11:00 PM.
The festival will continue until Sunday, with more events scheduled for the upcoming days.
