This project aims to replace the turf at Astola's upper football pitch, which has reached the end of its useful life after more than fifteen years of intensive use. The facilities include two pitches, heavily used daily by numerous local teams, both female and male, making it essential to maintain them in optimal conditions.
“"The objective is to ensure the quality and continuity of sports activity, offering an adequate space for training and competitions."
The tender proposal also considers environmental parameters. Thus, the new artificial turf will be more sustainable and will feature a sand infill system instead of traditional rubber. This represents a step forward in adapting to current demands for sustainability and reducing environmental impact.
Technical aspects such as fiber weight, density, and elasticity will be evaluated in the tender to ensure the highest quality of the new playing surface. The estimated execution period for the works is eight weeks, although bidding companies may propose reductions in these deadlines, which will be considered in the award process.
