The Baztartxo cinema has unveiled its program for the upcoming days, which will feature three new films: Toy Story 5, El ser querido, and Resurrection. The latter will also be part of a cineforum organized by the Matadeixe zinetogram collective. However, there will be no film screenings on Saturday, as the play Pijama para seis will be performed.
The animated film Toy Story 5 will be shown on Sunday afternoon at 5:00 PM, during children's hours. The new installment of the saga presents the challenge faced by traditional toys against new technology and digital devices that have captured the attention of the protagonist, Bonnie.
El ser querido will be screened on both Sunday and Monday, the latter being the audience day, with both sessions starting at 7:30 PM. The film's protagonist is a film director named Esteban Martinez, known for his films and a past marked by violence and excesses. In his new work, he offers a role to his daughter, Emilia, aiming to aid her career, which may help bridge the distance between them but also reopen old, unhealed wounds.
Lastly, Resurrection, a film blending drama and science fiction, will be presented next Tuesday at 8:00 PM. The plot depicts a society where humans have lost the ability to dream, or where dreaming can cost a life. One character holds onto the illusions of the dream world within this context.
