A young person was evacuated yesterday to Donostia Hospital after falling from a height near the Urumea River in Hernani. The incident happened shortly before 11:15 AM in the Karabel neighborhood, when a private citizen reported a person had fallen, with the causes remaining unclear to security forces.
Four vehicles from the Donostia Firefighters station, two ambulances, and several patrols from the Ertzaintza (Basque Police) and the Municipal Police responded to the scene. According to a witness, "some kids who went to the river to play with a ball saw the body of a guy lying by the river."

Although the rescue itself was not difficult, a firefighter used a harness to assist the victim, who was barefoot and in underwear. After receiving initial aid on-site, the individual walked unassisted to the ambulance that transported them to the hospital for examination.
