A fire, which started this Friday shortly after 8:30 AM in a pile of scrap metal at the Port of Pasaia, has produced a smoke plume that has spread across the area. This situation has led to the confinement of residents in Pasaia San Juan and Lezo.
Given the smoke's spread due to the wind and the possibility of it containing toxic vapors, the Hondarribia City Council has issued a recommendation to its citizens.
For this reason, the council emphasized, "it is recommended to keep windows and doors closed" as a precautionary measure.
