Lezo celebrates San Pedro Day with a diverse program of events

Lezo celebrates its main San Pedro Day today with an extensive program, starting with a main mass and concluding with a fire bull and concerts.

Lezo is celebrating its San Pedro Day today with a wide-ranging program. The festivities will commence at 11:00 with a main mass at the San Pedro church. Following this, at 11:30, a parade of song and dance will depart from Sagardotegi street to liven up the town.
For children, a park will be set up in Isla square from 11:30 to 13:30, with the event to be moved to the Loidibarren fronton in case of bad weather. At 12:30 PM, Elizatze square will host an exhibition of traditional Basque sports.
In the afternoon, at 13:00, the cultural center will host an institutional tribute to the volunteers of the Red Cross from Lasarte-Oria. Subsequently, at 16:00, Jaizkibel square will feature the Sasodance event, and from 16:30 to 18:30, the children's park will return to Isla square, with a contingency plan to move it to the Loidibarren fronton if the weather is unfavorable.
In the late afternoon, at 18:00, a parade of giants and costumed characters, accompanied by the pipers from the group Ezpelur, will set off from Blas de Lezo street. Simultaneously, Okendo square will host a sardine feast and a cider tasting.
The evening's events will kick off at 20:00 in Jaizkibel square with a concert by the band The Noisemakers. At 22:30, the Kale Nagusia (main street) will feature the traditional fire bull. At midnight, the cultural center will host a bertsolari (improvised Basque poetry) festival, featuring Maddi Lasa, Ane Labaka, Maialen Lujanbio, Andoni Egaña, Maider Arregi, and Onintza Enbeita, with Amaia Agirre as the topic master. To round off the night, from 23:00 to 02:00, DJ Blessive will perform in the Oriarte Landaberri area, while the group Ibai Berriak will give a concert in Isla square.
