The start of June marks the end of the academic year in Lasarte-Oria, and the Music and Dance Schools have seized the opportunity to showcase the results of their learning to families, friends, and neighbors.
The auditorium was packed with students' relatives, friends, and acquaintances, offering support to those who have dedicated the year to music and dance classes. This end-of-year event once again became a shared celebration.
The program commenced with an emotional ceremony. Following several musical performances, diplomas were awarded to the oldest students of the Musika Eskola, recognizing their academic journey. Subsequently, the younger students took the stage, demonstrating their progress and the enthusiasm with which they approached their first public performances.
The Dantza Eskola concluded the events with a ballet exhibition. The coordination, artistic expression, and hours of rehearsal were evident in a performance that garnered significant applause.
The Lasarte-Oria Musika Eskola currently has approximately 150 students, mostly children aged four and above. The Dantza Eskola, on the other hand, comprises about twenty students between the ages of 6 and 11.
The City Council expressed gratitude for "the involvement of the teaching staff, families, and students," highlighting the crucial role both institutions play in introducing music and dance to younger generations and fostering artistic education from an early age.
