The Biomolecular Nanotechnology Laboratory and the Hybrid Biofunctional Materials Laboratory at CIC biomaGUNE hosted the TEVIMO network last week for a workshop focused on tissue engineering.

TEVIMO, a research network of twelve partners coordinated by Prof. Gloria Gallego-Ferrer (Universitat Politècnica de València), focuses on tissue engineering for the development of healthy and pathological in vitro tissue models.
Predoctoral and postdoctoral researchers visited CIC biomaGUNE facilities and attended a 3D bioprinting workshop led by Platform Manager Gerard Boix Lemonche and predoctoral researcher Ane Urigoitia Asua. Participants gained a better understanding of how materials and cells are prepared for bioprinting using pneumatic extrusion and stereolithography.
In addition, they received a brief overview of rheological and biological characterization.
