The Atlas de la Empresa Comprometida de Euskadi was created in 2023 as an innovative tool to evaluate and showcase the commitment level of Basque companies to sustainability principles. Its main goal is to provide companies, the Administration, and Basque society with a comprehensive view of business performance in sustainability, aiming to raise awareness of this challenge's significance and promote appropriate responses.
The Atlas identifies and highlights best business practices across four complementary categories: Good Governance (transparency, ethics, governance, tax payment, and alignment with Sustainable Development Goals - SDGs), Environment (environmental strategy, carbon footprint control, resource use, and circular economy), Environment/Context (companies' relationship with the local fabric and their contribution to culture and development), and People (management of employees, focusing on equality, integration, and labor participation).
In this regard, the Atlas acknowledges the role played by Fundación Cristina Enea in aspects such as external transparency, relationship with nature, energy management, circular economy, and local supplier contracting. Fundación Cristina Enea also achieves excellent scores for organizations primarily using Basque language, integrating workers with disabilities, and participation.
In the Environment section, Fundación Cristina Enea has received a valuation that places it among the top 21 most outstanding companies.
