According to the council, the U6 line will feature a new stop at number 2 Jose Maria Usandizaga street, which will alter its route. The stop at number 15 San Marcos street will be removed, although the U5 line will continue to serve it.
Furthermore, the frequency of the U33 bus line, connecting Xenpelar street, the town center, Agustinas, and Zamalbide, will be increased. Four additional trips will be added: at 10:10 AM and 12:10 PM in the morning, and at 4:10 PM and 6:10 PM in the afternoon.
In response to the demand in Gaztaño, the Bidez Bide service will replace the one previously provided by the U34 line in the neighborhood. This service is more personalized and aimed at the elderly or individuals with reduced mobility, similar to services offered in rural areas.
The City Council recalled that these improvements are a response to citizen contributions gathered during neighborhood assemblies, aiming to facilitate and optimize the service. Other previously implemented measures, such as fare reductions and the Saturday night service, were also mentioned.
