Errenteria's pelota players could not win the Inter Pueblos title in Gipuzkoa after losing the final against Andoain, despite achieving victory in the first match.

Errenteria could not bring home the Gipuzkoa Inter Pueblos trophy after losing the final against Andoain. The team stated they «had to settle for the runner-up position», expressing a mix of disappointment and pride after reaching yet another final.
The matches, played in Olaberria, showed that Andoain is a difficult opponent to beat. However, the first match offered signs of hope that this time might have been different. Eskisabel and Rubén secured a narrow 33-35 victory against Iradi and Rekalde, putting the home team ahead. Nevertheless, as the team lamented, «it was a shame, as Errenteria was leading 27-33 and couldn't close the match at that moment».
In the short pala match, Yorel and Abel lost by a clear score of 40-25 against Altuna and Ponce. The Andoain players started the match strongly and gave no chances to those from Errenteria, who couldn't find their usual level of play at any point. In this regard, the two players commented in a pre-match interview that it would be «very difficult», a prediction that ultimately proved true on the court. The final result was a draw, but the point advantage gained by Andoain in the second game tipped the balance. Kerman Murua attended as a substitute but did not participate in any of the matches.
The Errenteria team affirms that, «despite not winning the trophies, Errenteria continues to demonstrate that it is a top team in this competition, and next year this team will return with the same enthusiasm to try and achieve the title». While winning is the objective, proving year after year that the team functions as it should is the best indicator that things are being done well.
Regarding the matches played last weekend in Fanderia in Professional Remonte, the games were exciting for the town's residents. On one hand, Arluziaga and Eskudero (2) defeated Susperregi and Ugarte II (1) with scores of 15-12-8, while Aiestaran VII and Barrenetxea IV (2) did the same against Goikoetxea V and Larrañaga (10-10).
