Hernani's first men's team continues its struggle to maintain its category. It is not an easy task, but the triumph achieved last weekend at home against Urki keeps them alive with two matchdays left until the competition concludes. Following the results of the last round, the Hernani team remains second to last, one point below Mutriku, two below Euskalduna, which is fourth from the bottom, and five behind Orioko, which could mark salvation. All this with six points still in play.

Against Urki, the Hernani players played a good match, ultimately winning 4-2 thanks to an excellent second half. They reached halftime with a 2-1 lead, but shortly after the second half began, the opponent equalized, a result that would have left the Zubipe team virtually doomed in the standings. However, the reaction from Hernani was very strong, confirming their dominance with two spectacular goals. One player scored the 3-2 with a phenomenal strike from the edge of the area after a collective play, and another made it 4-2 with a perfect shot into the top corner.

The other results were not entirely favorable. Orioko and Euskalduna did lose, but Mutriku won, and another team that was also in the fight also secured the three points.

The Hernani team will play the penultimate matchday in Tolosa, against a team currently in fourth place in the table.
