The Errenteria Town Hall is hosting a session for parents of Xenpelar Bertso Eskola students, following allegations of sexist conduct by a professor.

The Errenteria Town Hall has convened a professional session for parents of current and former students of the Xenpelar Bertso Eskola, following complaints of sexist attitudes by a professor. These allegations were made public by the Feminist Movements of Errenteria and Oiartzun and Bertsozale Elkartea. Upon learning of the events, the council expressed its rejection and announced the suspension of the bertso eskola's activities.
In the same statement, the Town Hall made available its municipal resources to victims and their families. According to the council, the day before the events became public, a meeting was held with parents of Xenpelar Bertso Eskola students "to directly provide them with the information received and communicate the council's decisions."
This meeting included a professional expert in gender violence, "with the intention of responding as appropriately as possible from the outset to the concerns and questions that the mothers and fathers might have."
Furthermore, during this meeting, the council conveyed its commitment to providing the necessary means for the adequate personal and collective management of all aggressions and inappropriate behaviors that have occurred around the Bertso Eskola.
Consequently, next Tuesday, June 2nd, at 6:30 PM, the Town Hall has organized a new session at the Joxepa Antoni Aranberri Anitzenea building. This session will include parents of current and previous students, as "it is known that the individual subject to the complaints has been involved for years, in one way or another, in the Bertso Eskola's activities, and that the reported incidents are not isolated."
This session will be led by a professional expert in gender violence who has previously intervened in other harassment cases. The Errenteria Town Hall has encouraged families to participate in this talk, which aims to provide them with the appropriate tools to manage what has happened.
