Errenteria City Council has formalized the cession of a municipal plot in Altzate to VISESA, a public company of the Basque Government. This initiative will promote the construction of 45 new official protection homes for rent in the municipality.
The council thus takes another step towards its goal of increasing the supply of public housing, by granting the land free of charge to VISESA, the entity responsible for promoting protected housing.
The cession of the municipal land is part of the collaboration agreement signed on May 27, 2026, between Errenteria City Council and VISESA, in which both institutions established the foundations for promoting this housing development in Altzate.
Through this action, the City Council provides land of municipal ownership to enable the promotion of protected housing in collaboration with the Basque Government, thereby helping to increase the supply of rental homes in Errenteria.
