The PNV municipal group in Bergara has appointed Kepa Sebal Lazpiur as its new spokesperson, following the resignation of Mikel Lete after almost three years in the position.

Following Mikel Lete's resignation, Kepa Sebal Lazpiur will assume the role of the new spokesperson for the PNV municipal group in the Bergara City Council. This transition was made official during the Plenary session last Monday, where Lete described his decision as "considered and responsible," marking the end of "a personal stage."

"First of all, I thank Mikel for his work and my PNV colleagues in Bergara for their trust in me. As the youngest member of the team, I especially appreciate this opportunity to work and learn."

Kepa Sebal, 27, is an Industrial Organization Engineer and holds an MBA in Project Management. A councilor since 2023, he currently works as a business administrator and leads entrepreneurship projects. He will take on the spokesperson role starting next Monday, while retaining his position as a member of the Territorial Commission.
As Sebal emphasized, the jeltzale group is embarking on "a new stage" with the goal of "strengthening its commitment to the future of the municipality" and continuing the work done so far. Alongside this change, Esther Ortiz de Zarate (1977) will join as a new councilor. A social worker with training in conflict resolution and adoptions, and a professional at Osakidetza since 2008, she has prior experience as a councilor between 2019 and 2023. In this new phase, she will focus on care and well-being within the Citizenship Commission.

"It is an honor to assume this new responsibility. I commit to working with dedication and closeness."

These changes represent a renewal of the municipal group in the final stretch of the 2023-2027 legislature, with adjustments in internal organization and the distribution of responsibilities across committees. Lete, for his part, will remain involved with the City Council and the municipal group in various working tables.
