The new descent in Elgeta has been well-received by the riders in the Itzulia race, who still have five more descents ahead on a 28-kilometer course with a 1,200-meter elevation gain.

The race is progressing, with riders facing five additional descents over a 28-kilometer route that includes a 1,200-meter elevation change. They will also traverse Azkonabieta and Goikomendi. Many participants are monitoring the weather, but there is no significant concern. They will be ascending and descending the peaks of Elgeta until midday. A large group of local residents is also assisting as volunteers.
The final stage of the Itzulia, the Antzuola-Bergara stage, will take place today. It will pass through Elgeta twice, both times via Asentzio: at 2:15 PM and 5:15 PM. Asentzio will serve as both the first and last mountain pass. Facilities for bike washing and showers at the sports center will be available. A txitxi-burruntzia (traditional meal) will also be held at the end. Today in Elgeta presents a “great opportunity” to enjoy a “full-day plan” centered around cycling.
