The club has opted for a home-grown coach with extensive experience within its structure. Barkero has managed youth teams and has been in charge of the second team for the last two seasons.
The club president highlighted that this choice ensures the stability of the project. She noted that the new coach's deep knowledge of the squad and the youth academy is essential to remain competitive in the Third Division.

The outgoing coach expressed his gratitude for the support received during his five-year tenure. He stated that he feels at ease leaving the bench in the hands of someone who knows the club's philosophy perfectly.
Barkero takes on the role with a sense of responsibility. The new coach has a distinguished professional career, having played for clubs such as Real Sociedad, Eibar, and Levante, and was a member of the under-20 world champion team in Nigeria in 1999.
