The Aretxabaleta Council will this week put out to tender the works to renovate the children's swings in Iralabarri park and improve those in Kurtzebarri. These projects have a total budget of 75,854 euros, and the winning bidder will have a period of 4 months to complete the work.
In the Iralabarri children's park, new elements will be installed and the ground will be renewed. Most of the current elements will be removed and new ones put in place.
In Kurtzebarri, the area will be tidied up, the ground and benches will be changed, and a new element will be added. This new element will be a fully accessible roundabout, allowing children with mobility issues to use it as well.
In addition, maintenance will be carried out on other parks: deep maintenance is planned for the swings in Gernika square, but interventions will also be made in other parks. To ensure the maintenance of the parks, a company will be hired to carry out continuous adaptation and maintenance work.
