The municipal fronton of Bergara will host a didactic music concert this Sunday, April 28, starting at 12:30 PM, offering an interactive opportunity to discover and learn about musical language.

This event, part of the Apirilean Musika cycle promoted by the Bergarako Musika eta Dantza Eskola, highlights the close relationship between the school and musical groups. As a result of this bond, the recital will feature the participation of the children's choir directed by Marije Ugalde and the Gazte band under the baton of Txus Arriaran, promising some “surprises” during the morning.
One of the main attractions will be the chance to experience music from within. The audience, both children and adults, will be able to sit alongside the musicians during some pieces and experience the band's sound firsthand, breaking the usual distance between the stage and the audience.
Deputy director Igor Larrañaga will act as a guide on this musical journey, introducing the works and offering insights into the composers, instruments, and functions of music. This will be the guiding thread of a varied repertoire: from Pablo Ojeda's processional march Madrugá Macarena to A. W. Ketèlbey's evocative En un mercado persa, which paints scenes with sounds.
The program will also include Udaberriko Txoria by Alfredo Gz. Chirlaque, alongside the children's choir; Ezpatadantza by Miguel Gz. Bastida, and a selection of soundtracks that connect with contemporary audiovisual imagery: arrangements of Coco by E. Moreno; Superheroes R Us in a version by M. Story and Golden, from the movie Kpop Demon Hunters, adapted by the band's director Enrike Txurruka.
The morning concert will serve as a prelude to the closing of the Apirilean Musika cycle, which will take place that same afternoon. At 6:00 PM, Usondo park will host the main event of the program: an orchestra created for the occasion that will bring together students from the music school and young people from nearby towns such as Oñati, Zumarraga, and Arrasate. Alongside them, the choir of the San Joxepe retired persons' association and young singers will perform, in a proposal that seeks to foster shared enjoyment, strengthen ties between generations, and offer an artistic experience that transcends the stage.
