Individuals born in, residing in, or having a strong connection to Bergara are eligible to participate. Submitted photographs must have been taken in Bergara or, at minimum, feature a significant element related to the town, such as landscapes or people. Images lacking a clear connection to the municipality may receive lower priority in the selection process, although the final decision rests with the jury.
Each author may submit a maximum of 25 photographs. Images must be delivered in digital format, measuring 20 x 30 cm, with a resolution of 300 dpi, and in JPG format. Files can be submitted via CD or USB at the Town Council's Basque Language Service, or sent by email to euskara@bergara.eus, using large file transfer platforms such as tori.eus or WeTransfer. Due to the calendar's format, photographs should primarily be horizontal, though horizontal sets composed of vertical images will also be accepted.
The selection of photographs will be carried out by a working group appointed by the Town Council. During this process, a gender perspective will be considered, striving for the most balanced representation of women and men in the images featured in the calendar. Selected photographs will be remunerated and will become part of the Bergara Municipal Archive. The Council may use them in the future, always acknowledging the author. It will be the photographer's responsibility to obtain the necessary permissions, and the submission of photographs will imply that these permissions have been secured.
