The initiative, organized by Rural Kutxa, aimed to raise 2,000 euros for Katxalin, the Gipuzkoa association supporting women affected by breast and/or gynecological cancer. The challenge involved accumulating 1,000 kilometers on static bicycles installed in the Santa Marina car park, next to the Oxirondo market, with two euros donated for each kilometer covered.
According to meteorological forecasts, a cold front will cross the territory tomorrow, causing a notable change in temperatures and ending the summery weather of recent days. Given this situation, Rural Kutxa announced today its decision to postpone the solidarity initiative, which is not canceled but will be held on a new date yet to be determined.
The event was open to people of all ages, with the intention of turning each pedal stroke into a gesture of solidarity. The organization reports that the proposal will be resumed later, and the new date will be announced soon.
