The Arrasate Municipal Library has organized a series of activities to commemorate International Book Day, including the 'Ttinka' show and workshops, despite the cancellation of an initial event.

The celebrations surrounding International Book Day, which were initially scheduled to begin on Thursday, April 15, with a performance by Idoia Asurmendi and Maria Oses, have seen the latter cancelled. Nevertheless, the Arrasate Municipal Library has prepared an extensive program for the coming days.
Next Friday, April 24, at 6:00 PM, musicians from Iparralde, Arantxa Hirigoyen and Philippe Albor, will take center stage. They will present a show called 'Ttinka', which combines singing, music, storytelling, and theater. All their songs are original, with most created specifically for this project. They have also released albums.

"We are excited to bring artists from Iparralde; it's not common, and even though they are close, we tend to go to nearby towns and regions more easily."

In addition to this children's show, the library has organized two other events. Firstly, the 'Mikroipuinak' workshop for adults, a writing session lasting approximately two hours. Idoia Torregaraik, a writer and journalist, will lead this workshop. Torregaraik published the book Mikroipuinak last year, and since then has been giving workshops on creating very short stories. The session will take place on Monday, April 27, at 6:00 PM, and is open to anyone over 16 years old. Registration is required via the website or at the library itself.
Secondly, at the children's library in the Santa Marina neighborhood, illustrator Helena Azkarragaurizar will lead a practical workshop for children to create images, titled 'a book a suitcase'. This workshop will be held on April 23, at 6:00 PM, and is suitable for primary school children (especially those aged 6 to 10 years). Pre-registration is also required here, as places are still available.
