The girls of Arrasate Rugby Taldea, forming part of the Geurea RT alongside Elorrio and Urgozo, have concluded the league's qualification phase in second place after defeating Getxo 20-29 in Fadura.

Geurea RT visited Getxo in the final league match, securing a crucial victory that guaranteed them second place. By the fifth minute, the visitors were already leading 5-7, overturning an early try by Getxo in the third minute, thanks to a try from Haizea Zabala and a conversion by Ane Rincon.
A quarter of an hour in, the home team took the lead again (10-7), but the Basque team's response was immediate, with the same two protagonists from the start of the match. Unfortunately, three minutes later, Getxo struck again, making it 15-14. The home team maintained their lead until the half-hour mark of the first half, and after a fourth try, Getxo further extended their advantage (20-14).
Fortunately, Geurea RT's response was once again immediate, with a try each from June Iglesias and Jone Ugalde. Thus, both teams went into the changing rooms with a 20-24 lead after the first 40 regulation minutes. Shortly after the start of the second half, in the fifth minute, Iglesias herself extended the visitors' lead by scoring her second personal try (20-29).
From that point on, Zabala's team focused on maintaining their lead, and they succeeded, as the scoreboard did not move again until the referee signaled the end of the match. In this way, Geurea RT brought home a valuable victory from Fadura, allowing them to finish the league in second place. In the 18 rounds played, the Basque team achieved nine victories, accumulating a total of 44 points, 18 less than league leaders Gaztedi. The league's final phase will begin next week, with single-match knockout rounds, starting with the quarter-finals.
