The Arrasate Pilota Taldea has assessed its current situation, reporting an increase in youth participation but highlighting a shortage of senior players, which has prevented their involvement in the Inter-village Championship.

Currently, the Arrasate Pilota Taldea has sixty pelota players, most of whom are young people in the benjamin and alevín categories, totaling around forty. However, there is only one girl in the team, compared to two last year, and they have no players in the junior and senior categories.
One of the team's officials stated that the board is “very stable” and that everything is “on the right track.” Nevertheless, he acknowledged that an area for improvement is the lack of players reaching the senior category. “From cadets onwards, most players stop playing, giving more importance to other things; that's where we lack people,” he explained. This is precisely why no team from Arrasate has been entered in the Inter-village Championship currently underway.

In this context, to encourage young people to stay involved in handball pelota for more years, the role of player Ander Murua has been emphasized. “Having a player they see on television then here as a coach is incredible. Young people come with great enthusiasm, and it has been noticed among the youngest, as we have seen an increase in the benjamin and alevín categories,” the official noted.
Along with Ander Murua's professional debut, there has also been a change in the appearance of the Uarkape fronton and an increase in pelota festivals held in Arrasate. “The City Council has helped a lot with this; every year they bring four or five festivals to Arrasate, and Ander plays in most of them. Furthermore, we have an incredible fronton; it's the best in the valley, and that also helps a lot, both when organizing matches and when training,” he added.
