Two-car head-on collision on N-636 in Kanpanzar: one person seriously injured

A head-on collision between two vehicles took place this afternoon on the N-636 road at kilometer marker 34, in Kanpanzar (Arrasate), heading towards Beasain.

The accident occurred in Kanpanzar (Arrasate) on the N-636 road at kilometer 34, in the direction of Beasain. Two vehicles collided head-on. Upon receiving the alert, both the Ertzaintza (Basque Police) and emergency medical services were dispatched to the scene.
The sole injured individual was evacuated by helicopter to Cruces Hospital. The Ertzaintza reported that the person's condition is believed to be serious.
The incident led to traffic disruptions and lengthy queues. By 3:15 PM, traffic jams extended up to two kilometers at the location. The road remained closed in both directions until nearly 5:00 PM, after the involved vehicles were removed and cleanup operations were completed.
