The Zurrunbilo Water Sports Club, celebrating its quarter-century this year, has organized a special event for its members and interested citizens. The gathering will take place today, September 4th, at the Deba Cultural Center, starting at 7:00 PM.
The event will begin with the presentation of a fanzine titled "The History of Surfing in Deba between 1980 and 2026". This publication features texts and photographs by Ander Tolosa Urcelay, has been reviewed by the Zurrunbilo management team, and was designed and laid out by Alex Turriellas (Sutan Grafik). The fanzine chronicles the club's history and the evolution of surfing in Deba over the years.
Following this, a round table discussion titled "Surfing Then and Now" will be held. The invited participants are historical surfers Iñigo Galarraga, Irene Txurruka, Sabas Bedialauneta, and Jon Egaña, with Miren Artetxe serving as moderator.
Additionally, a Zurrunbilo merchandising stand will be available, and Iskra Selectors will provide music to liven up the event. The organizers remind everyone that all club members and interested citizens are invited.
