The tribute took place during the awards ceremony for the III Berkoa Udaberri Tournament. The club highlighted the restaurateur's commitment to providing his venues for the organization of chess matches.
The partnership began at the Iriondo bar, hosting tournaments for twelve years, and continued for the last three years at the Mintxeta establishment. The club decided this was the right moment for the tribute as the restaurateur has stepped down from managing the business.
Regarding the tournament results, Unai Elías took first place, followed by Félix Manso and Markel Kerexeta. The event saw a total of 21 participants.
