Elgoibar's Mintxeta pools open season June 13 with free entry, aquathlon, DJ, and urban dance

The Mintxeta sports complex in Elgoibar will launch its summer season on June 13 with a special opening event that blends sports and festivities, providing free access to the outdoor swimming pools.

To mark the start of the summer season, the Mintxeta pools will host a series of events. At 10:00 AM, an aquathlon race combining swimming and running will take place. Following this, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, DJ Tita will provide music throughout the facilities. In the afternoon, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, an urban dance exhibition is scheduled.
Admission will be free on this opening day, which ushers in a season that will continue until September. The Mintxeta pools are set to remain a key leisure destination for residents of Elgoibar and surrounding towns, weather permitting.
According to the Municipal Sports Board, season passes are now available for purchase. Individual passes are priced at €100.90 for those under 18 and €111.75 for adults. Family passes cost €223.50, and single-parent family passes are €156.45. For retirees over 60, individual passes are €102.00 and family passes are €185.55. Student passes are €100.00, and passes for individuals with special needs are €100.90.
For those who prefer occasional visits, the pay-as-you-go rates are €4.50 for individuals under 18 and €6.50 for those over 18.
