This week's program kicks off on Thursday, at 7:30 PM, with the cineclub session featuring the British film Pillion in original version with Spanish subtitles. This 106-minute drama, directed by Harry Lighton, explores homosexuality through the story of Colin, an introverted man captivated by Ray, the charismatic leader of a biker gang, who disrupts his routine and transforms his life.
In the commercial cinema section, on Saturday at 7:30 PM and Monday at 8:30 PM, audiences can watch the 84-minute thriller Caminando con el diablo, directed by Rubén Pérez Barrena. The plot follows Miguel and Alice, a couple who have lost their son Gabriel. Miguel is consumed by guilt over that alcoholic night, while for Alice, it was her husband, not her son, who died that day. Far from this hell, Philippe, a ten-year-old French boy, travels in a caravan with his parents.
The second commercial offering of the week is the latest work by director Pedro Almodóvar, Amarga Navidad. This 111-minute drama focuses on friendship and family. It tells the story of Elsa, an advertising director whose mother passed away during a long December holiday weekend. Elsa seeks refuge in her work, even if it's a form of escapism. The cast includes Barbara Lennie, Leonardo Sbaraglia, Aitana Sánchez-Gijón, and Vicky Luengo.
Finally, on Sunday, at 5:00 PM, there will be a children's screening of the animated film Super Mario Galaxy. This 98-minute feature is a continuation of the video game, a fantasy and space adventure in which brothers Mario and Luigi, along with Princess Peach, embark on a journey through the galaxy to its furthest reaches.
